Hello World! I'm ANDRE SHAKTI.
I am a 31 year old queer white kinky polyamorous cisgender woman currently residing in Baltimore, MD. I am a celebrated sex educator, a veteran member of the sex worker community, a non-monogamy advice columnist and a personal intimacy coach. I have been working within the realm of sexual health, pleasure, empowerment and healing for over a decade now and truly consider it my life's calling.
In the beginning of March 2020 I lost 85% of my income as a result of the spread of the COVID-19 virus; as such, the digital streams of revenue I've conceptualized, poured my heart into and listed below have become my sole forms of income. Every dollar, share, retweet, etc helps!
So, what am I working on?
PROJECT A. "I Am Poly(amorous) & So Can You!" is a WEEKLY advice column for those interested in alternative relationship structures, and this is our THIRD YEAR running! The column is free to access via my professional website and updates every Wednesday morning (EDT) here on IAmPoly.net! I alternate giving advice myself with bringing in other guest columnists who identify as non-monogamy professionals. Each columnist is paid out $50.00 per 500-700 word column and I prioritize the voices and experiences of PoC, LGBTQ+ folks, sex workers and people with disabilities.
PROJECT B. In this unprecedented era of destabilization, fear and uncertainty brought to our doorstep by the novel coronavirus, the landscape of education as an industry looks grim. However, what better way to utilize all of this time we have on our hands than to acquire new knowledge, especially when most of us grow up being deprived of any formal sexual education to speak of? "Let's Go LIVE! with Andre Shakti" is an interactive sex education web series hosted every Tuesday 7-9p & Sunday 8-10p EDT on Facebook Live! I'll be covering a wide variety of sexual health, pleasure, consent, communication, dating, trauma and kink-related topics, approaching them with inclusivity, accessibility, empathy and levity.
